Digital Media Arts Training Institute
With over 60,000 jobs in Mississippi tied directly to the creative economy, and the global influencer marketing industry valued at $16.4 billion, the demand for skilled, media-savvy professionals is skyrocketing. Yet, only 4.7% of the world’s 4.2 billion social media users are able to monetize their content. The Global Gateways Digital Media Institute aims to close this gap by shifting participants’ relationship with technology from passive consumption to active creation—ultimately equipping them with the tools to earn, express, and empower.
The Digital Media Institute is a transformative initiative that addresses both the hard and soft skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive workforce. In addition to hands-on training in video production, graphic design, social media content creation, and other digital media arts, participants will also work toward earning the WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). This nationally recognized credential assesses and certifies essential workplace skills such as communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork—core competencies that many employers say are lacking in new workforce entrants.

Global Gateways’ 8-week Video Production & Storytelling Workforce Program provides hands-on training in professional camera operation, lighting, audio, scriptwriting, production, and editing. Work with industry-standard equipment, learn from professionals, complete real-world projects, and build a portfolio that demonstrates what you can do.

Global Gateways’ Social Media Management & Content Creation Program is a hands-on, six-week training designed for young women ages 16–24 who are ready to turn creativity into a career. From mastering major platforms to building strategies that engage real audiences, this program equips you with the skills, tools, and certifications to succeed in today’s fast-growing digital media industry. Whether you dream of managing accounts for top brands or creating content that makes an impact, this is your first step toward becoming a professional social media manager or content creator.
