Mississippi Nonprofit Provides Scholarships To HBCU Scholars

Jackson, MS – Global Gateways is pleased to announce the recipients of its inaugural International Summer Study Abroad Scholarship. The scholarship provides financial support to students who wish to study abroad and immerse themselves in new cultures, broaden their educational experiences, and develop a global perspective. Scholarship recipients will study abroad at ITESO University in Guadalajara, Mexico from May 19- June 17, 2023.

Global Gateways received a number of applications from talented and ambitious students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the country. After a thorough review process, Global Gateways has awarded scholarships to three deserving students who demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential,  a genuine interest in global education and commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

• Jayla Jones, Jackson State University, Sophomore,  Political Science

• Breyunha Smith, Dillard University, Junior, Psychology
